The Bates Smart design achieves a unique and refined aesthetic, positioning the organisation as the best player in the local market and reflecting their boutique and enviable offering.

The workplace incorporates a range of meeting spaces, with next generation technology, in order to connect with remote clients and overseas offices. The flexibility and scalability of the spaces means they are able to accommodate groups from 5 to 75 people.

We supplied and fitted a range of Revolution 54 double glazed panels providing acoustic performance where required as well as Kinetic Align sliding doors and sidelights.

The majority of staff are accommodated within their own offices, balanced by collaborative shared zones, open-plan work settings and a diverse range of dedicated team spaces. The breakout area, located off the entry lobby, provides social amenity for both staff and clients.

Efficient and rapid design and delivery was of paramount importance for this project. Working with Optima was important for Bates Smart to deliver their strategy. They sought to achieve a high-quality outcome within a challenging construction management approach; this involved establishing clear and effective communication protocols for both the client and project team.

The project’s positive outcome was assisted by identifying a priority hierarchy on which to focus consultation, budget and energy. It was also essential to recognise potential roadblocks early and to establish strategies to overcome problems.
