Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) has recently completed the fit-out of their new Sydney headquarters. Located at Macquarie Place Park in the heart of Sydney’s business district, this airy, sleek design offers a dynamic and comfortable workspace for employees and clients. Working alongside designer Bates Smart and Builder MPA Construction we brought their new office to life. Our glass partitions and doors help create a sleek and stylish design that also meets the practical needs of the modern workplace.

Acoustic privacy was a key design requirement for this leading global investment firm. Whether for private meetings with colleagues or confidential appointments with clients, acoustic performance was crucial for their new headquarters. With this in mind, we installed a collection of acoustic glazed partitions and doors for KKR. Revolution 100 double glazed partitions were installed extensively throughout the floorplan, creating a variety of private meeting rooms and offices. This stunning dry jointed system achieves outstanding acoustic ratings offering the ideal level of sound privacy across the office. Achieving up to Rw52dB with one sheet of 12.8mm and one of 16.8mm acoustic laminated glass, this impressive acoustic system hits KKR’s acoustic design brief perfectly.
In addition, Elite Aero single glazed pocket sliding doors were seamlessly integrated into the design. Designed exclusively for use within our Revolution 100 double glazed system, this space saving solution achieves Rw39dB with 12mm toughened glass. Ideal for smaller spaces whilst still offering strong acoustic performance, Elite Aero enhances the sound privacy of these spaces. We also installed our Edge Symmetry single glazed doors, bolstering the overall acoustic performance of KKR’s new space. Not only does this beautifully designed door system add to the sleek design of the office but it can perform as well acoustically as bespoke acoustic timber doors. Achieving up to Rw35dB, this striking acoustic framed door system is ideal for the various private offices and meeting rooms that require a high level of acoustic privacy.
We installed a number of bespoke curved partitions throughout this contemporary and bright office space. Curved Optima 117 Plus single glazing and Revolution 100 glass partitions create a variety of unique private meeting spaces. The use of curved partitions adds a creative and distinctive design feature to KKR’s new space whilst maintaining impressive acoustic performance and facilitating natural light to flow through the fit-out. These bespoke areas provide the ideal spaces where employees can get away from the buzz of the office or have a confidential meeting with a colleague or client. We also installed several timber doors across the design which seamlessly adds to the warm and wooden aesthetic of the project. Achieving up to Rw33dB a collection of both single and double leaf 54mm timber doors not only adds to the design of the office but also enhances the overall acoustic privacy of this prestigious investment company’s new space.
