The primary aim of the project was to design a workspace that encourages dynamic work environments, fostering team interaction, social connection, and a sense of community. Creating an office environment that promotes comfort, security, productivity, and employee health was essential for enhancing employee wellbeing.
The project required a design that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also met stringent performance standards, particularly regarding acoustics. The integration of advanced technology and the creation of an immersive environment were pivotal to the project’s success, and our innovative acoustic solutions were integral to the delivery.
Our collaboration with Architects Woods Bagot and lead contractors AW Edwards resulted in a stunning office space. The use of Optima’s products helped create a calm and welcoming environment, characterised by clean lines and high transparency. A three-story tall digital wall and state-of-the-art workstations were among the standout features of the fitout. The office includes immersive meeting rooms with intuitive speaker-focused conferencing that connects colleagues and clients, designed to enhance collaboration and communication among team members. Acoustic performance was high on the list of priorities here; working closely with the acoustic consultant, Optima ensured that the office met high standards of acoustic performance, critical for maintaining a productive work environment.
In line with AirTrunk’s robust ESG commitments, the building is on target to achieve a 5-star Green Star and 4.5 NABERS rating. The fitout used recycled wood, locally-sourced Australian wood, and stone acoustic panelling made from recycled plastic, plus energy-efficient lighting solutions and indoor botanicals. The project was also designed to achieve platinum-level WELLS certification to enhance employee wellbeing.
Robin Khuda, Founder & CEO of AirTrunk, expressed satisfaction with the delivered space, noting that it was a carefully considered physical collaboration space for both clients and employees: “AirTrunk workplaces have always been a key part of our employee value proposition because we know that an energising environment influences how people feel and in turn, positively impacts their experience, engagement, and productivity. Our new global HQ will keep AirTrunkers inspired to consistently reach for new heights and be a drawcard for the best talent in the industry.”
The successful fitout of AirTrunk’s global headquarters in Sydney, highlights Optima’s ability to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions tailored to the needs of modern work environments. This project further underscores Optima’s commitment to enhancing workplace aesthetics and functionality through advanced glass partitioning systems.
